DESCRIPTIONS AND ILLUSTRATIONS OF TERRA SYSTEMS' UNIQUE REMEDIATION TECHNOLOGY.

Terra Systems, Inc. (TSI) offers a full range of patented in situ bioremediation products for the enhanced anaerobic bioremediation of groundwater and soil contaminants to environmental consultants. TSI scientists have been pioneering enhanced in situ bioremediation technology for over 30 years and continue to develop cutting edge biological based solutions to solve complex remediation issues.

Our products are commonly referred to as enhanced reductive dechlorination (ERD) substrates which include Slow Release Substrates (SRS®) also generically known as emulsified vegetable oil substrates (EVO) or emulsified oil substrate (EOS). They all have one objective - the introduction of a long lasting carbon source into the aquifer to accelerate the reductive dechlorination of tetrachloroethene (PCE), trichloroethene (TCE), cis-1,2-Dichloroethene (cis-DCE) and Vinyl Chloride (VC) to ethene and ethane. Common applications are former drycleaner sites, military bases, and chemical manufacturing sites. SRS® is also used to maintain reducing conditions to convert hexavalent Chromium (Cr6+) to trivalent Chromium (Cr3+) at electroplating or manufacturing sites that used chromium.

TSI's family of SRS® Slow Release Emulsified Vegetable Oil Substrates are patented engineered products for the enhanced reductive dechlorination of chlorinated solvents or any anaerobically degradable substance and will typically enhance biological activity for 2 to 5 years. Our family of SRS® emulsified vegetable oil substrates allow the project manager to choose the right product for their needs and reduces the likelihood of "trying to fit a square peg into a round hole".

  formations where a broad radius of influence is critical
• SRS®-FR large droplet emulsified vegetable oil substrate (EVO) for fractured
  rock formations and fast flowing aquifers where retention in the formation is   critical
• SRS®-Metals emulsified vegetable oil substrate (EVO) for the conversion of
  Cr6+ and precipitation to Cr3+
• SRS®-Buffered emulsified vegetable oil substrate (EVO) for very low pH
  aquifers
