TSIC™ Culture-- TS Innoculum for Chlorinated Compounds  is a natural enriched bacteria culture that contains species of  Dehalcoccoides  for bioaugmentation.  This non-methanogenic culture dechlorinates PCE to the non-toxic product ethene.  It can be used at sites where bacteria capable of complete reductive dechlorination are not present or there is a need to decrease the remediation time frame.  Although antidotal, it has been estimated that the causative microorganism Dehalococcoides is not present in 10 to 40 percent of chlorinated solvent contaminated sites.

MTS™ -- Metals Treatment Substrate is a slow release product that has been designed to remove a range of dissolved metals from groundwater via in situ immobilization and also provide a substrate for biodegradation of chlorinated compounds.  It contains sulfate and sulfide.  This complex is immobile in the subsurface because it sorbs strongly to the soil.  MTS™ can also be used as a direct reductant for metals such as  uranium and chromium that precipitate as hydroxides and oxides.

Low cost - The passive nature of the MTSTM Technology eliminates the large capital and operations/maintenance costs associated with active engineered systems such as pump and treat, air sparging with vapor extraction and continuous recirculation systems. 

Non-toxic food grade materials - MTSTM is made with food grade materials that have Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) status.  It can be injected directly into the aquifer through push-points or wells.

Optimizes dechlorination activity - By maintaining a constant source of electron donors within the contaminated aquifer, MTSTM can optimize dechlorination activity in aquifers contaminated with both metals and chlorinated solvents.
